Happy Half Birthday To ME!

7 Apr

Yes, you read that right! I am 29 and a half today. Yes, I acknowledge my 1/2 birthday 🙂 From here, I have 6 months left in my 20’s, 6 months left before …. well, uh…the next 30 years of my life 🙂

This birthday has been looming in the horizon since my 25th birthday. Funny. I remember when I turned 25 thinking “Man! Now I am closer to 30 than 20…” I wasn’t sure what that meant, but the (almost) 5 years since then have brought many great things. Neil graduated from college, we got married and we had 2 beautiful kids, to name a few.

I am overwhelmingly blessed with the life the Lord has given me.

Feeling Beachy

16 Mar
A couple weekends ago we drove down to Grayland, WA (near Westport, WA)  to visit my grandparents.

The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful for an early March day, it was close to 70 degrees…Beautiful! Kaeden really enjoyed the time on the beach and loved looking for treasures! I can’t wait to go back!

Peace Surfer Dudes!

Some 'gulls enjoying the low tide tasty treats!

We will be back!

25 Feb

Here are our little Valentine’s.

Kaeden was trying to get her to sit with him, only the first picture actually worked 🙂

I hope you all were able to spend time with those you love on Valentine’s day!

Merry Christmas (yes, I know I am late!)

27 Jan

Christmas Morning. Kaeden was very excited to rip into all the presents that “santa” brought him. Bristol was more interested in the paper he was tearing off the presents!

I will be sure to post more soon. So much to write, but so little time 🙂

So, until then: Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Groundhog Day and probably Happy Valentines day!

Dear Diary…

28 Dec

It has been brought up to me that I haven’t posted anything in a while, and that my last posting was very sad! Sorry about that!

A friend was recently joking that she used to “apologize” to her Diary for not writing. It made me laugh because I can remember doing the same, when I actually kept a diary/journal. I suppose this is one step up from that, apologizing to your blog 🙂 But, since my blog has readers and my diary didn’t (I think) I am very sorry that it has been so long!

We have been very busy. We moved from our 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom house with a fenced in back yard! I can’t wait until it warms up a bit and Kaeden can use the yard for super fun play time!!! Christmas has also come, and gone. Amazing that this year is almost at an end.

I promise I will actually put some words with meaning and some PICTURES here for you all to enjoy very soon. Until then “Dear diary, I am sorry it has been so long since my last entry” !!

It is amazing how someone you have never met can touch your heart so much. I have been following the story of 4 year old Baily Bennett for several months. His fight touched my heart, his strength. He was an inspiration. He lost his fight to Lymphoma today. Having my own toddler, I can’t help but think of his parents and the complete helplessness they must have felt, are feeling. Since hearing their story, I kiss my kids goodnight an extra time (or two) at night, knowing how precious they are. Kiss your kids goodnight. Remember how blessed you are to have them. ❤ Please pray for the Bennett family in their time of loss.

6 Months!

16 Nov

Today Bristol had her 6 month check up. It is hard to believe it has been 6 months! She is healthy and happy. Got her Flu shot and a couple other shots. Because our 8am appointment was canceled @ :730 and rescheduled for 1:30, I couldn’t go. Sad!

So, not quite sure how long she is, and all I know is she is 18 pounds and something…Will fill in the blanks as I find out 🙂

Here she is, Our Princess, 6 months old!
